Fusion welding or sometimes called butt fusion welding is a method of joining two or more components by heating the mating surfaces then pressing the two together to form the join.

This sounds simple enough, although in order to achieve maximum strength, there are three main variables that need to be addressed and controlled. Heat, pressure and time are critical components of butt fusion welding and only trained operators should attempt to join any mission critical welding.

 

CV Industrial Plastic Fabricators have the experience necessary to perform on site or in house fusion welding of Polyethylene, Polypropylene, PVC, and ABS pipe, being for irrigation, domestic mains, chemical plant work or custom pipe fittings and modifications.

We currently have the ability to weld materials from 19mm to 325mm diameter to exacting specifications.
